What is data activation?
Data activation is making your data actually do something — feeding clean, unified customer, product, and business data into the systems where decisions get made and actions happen. Examples: pushing a Data Cloud audience into Meta and LinkedIn ads in real time; surfacing a customer's purchase history inside a service agent's screen; triggering an MCE journey when a customer crosses a behavioral threshold.

Activation pushes the source of truth INTO operational systems so action happens automatically. Unification without activation produces excellent dashboards no one acts on. Activation without unification produces fragmented personalization that contradicts itself. We deliver them as one integrated practice.
How long does a data activation engagement take, and what does it cost?
A focused single-destination activation (e.g., Marketing Cloud + 3 ad platforms) runs 8–12 weeks. A multi-destination program with real-time activation across ad, service, and product surfaces runs 4–7 months. We already have a CDP or Data Cloud — do we still need activation services?
Often yes. Having Data Cloud, Segment, mParticle, or Tealium doesn't mean the activation patterns are right. Common gaps we fix: identity resolution edge cases, consent state not flowing to destinations, latency between unified profile and downstream system, measurement loops missing, and audiences that don't update because of a misconfigured sync.
