MCI to Adverity Migration

Move to a Faster, Flexible Marketing Data Platform

Marketing agencies running on MCI are increasingly looking for an alternative, one that costs less, connects more sources, and doesn't require a team of engineers to maintain. Adverity is the most natural destination for agencies making that move.

Decision Foundry has delivered MCI to Adverity migrations for top media agencies including managing the full process from data audit to live dashboards without a single reporting interruption.

The pain points we address

1

MCI costs are climbing and you're not getting proportional value from the platform

2

Blending marketing data with finance or CRM data requires workarounds that shouldn't be necessary

3

Your team is spending too much time on manual data collection instead of analysis

4

You want to move to a more flexible platform but can't afford reporting downtime during the switch

5

You need separate dashboards for your internal team and your clients — MCI doesn't make this easy

Two Ways We Deploy Adverity

Adverity as a Standalone Reporting Platform

We implement Adverity end-to-end, connecting all your media sources, harmonising data across platforms, building calculated KPIs, and delivering client-facing and internal dashboards directly within Adverity. Your team and your clients both get access. No manual exports. No spreadsheets.

Adverity as an ETL Layer

For agencies that prefer a separate BI tool for visualisation, we use Adverity purely as the data ingestion and transformation layer, fetching data from all your sources, transforming it, and pushing clean, structured data into BigQuery, Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. This is the model we used for one of our client — Adverity handled the ingestion and transformation, and the clean data flowed into BigQuery for reporting in Power BI.

What We Offer

MCI Audit & Source Mapping

We audit your existing MCI setup, data streams, connectors, enrichments, naming conventions, and dashboards and map every element to its Adverity equivalent. Nothing gets left behind or discovered mid-migration.

Data Migration & Pipeline Build

We rebuild all your data pipelines in Adverity, authenticating sources, setting up data streams, applying transformations and enrichments, and validating data accuracy against your existing MCI setup before anything goes live.

Data Harmonisation

Different platforms name the same things differently. "Cost," "advertiser cost," and "spend" become one consistent metric. We map all source fields to a unified structure so your reporting is clean and comparable across every platform.

KPI & Calculated Metrics Build

CTR, CPM, VTR, ROAS, and any custom metrics your team needs built directly inside Adverity as part of the standard setup.

Dashboard Build

Internal dashboards for your team's cost and performance analysis, and separate client-facing dashboards with view-only access so clients can log in and see their data directly without anyone having to send reports manually.

QA & Data Validation

Automated QA dashboards that validate data accuracy between Adverity and your source platforms maintaining above 99% data accuracy. We've validated this across every migration we've delivered.

Ongoing Maintenance & Support

APIs change. New sources get added. Naming conventions evolve. We handle all of it on an ongoing basis so your team doesn't have to.

How We Deliver It

STEP 01

MCI Audit

We review your full MCI environment - data streams, connectors, granularity, enrichments, and dashboards and confirm that the same data is available in Adverity at the same granularity.

STEP 02

Source Authentication & Setup

We authenticate all data sources in Adverity and configure data streams for every platform in scope.

STEP 03

Data Migration

We run a mass migration using scripts to onboard all data streams into Adverity, rebuilding enrichments, calculations, and transformations as part of the process.

STEP 04

Parallel Validation

We run Adverity and MCI in parallel validating data accuracy between both platforms before any cutover is made. We don't switch over until everything matches.

STEP 05

Dashboard Build

We build internal and client-facing dashboards in Adverity or push clean data to your BI tool of choice if Adverity is being used as the ETL layer.

STEP 06

Cutover & Handoff

Once everything is validated, we cut over to Adverity with full documentation and team training so your analysts can manage and extend the platform going forward.

STEP 07

Ongoing Maintenance

We monitor pipelines, handle API changes, add new sources, and ensure reporting never goes dark.

Why Adverity Over MCI?

Cost

Adverity is significantly more cost-effective than MCI, both in platform cost and storage. MCI charges based on rows of data, which becomes expensive at scale. Adverity's pricing is package-based on connectors and data volume, making it more predictable and affordable as you grow.

Native AI for data transformation

Adverity's AI-powered transformation tools compress what used to take weeks of manual configuration into days. MCI doesn't have this.

Conversational AI built in

Adverity's Data Conversations lets teams query their marketing data in plain language — no SQL, no analyst bottleneck. This is native to the platform and built on ten years of marketing-specific context.

600+ connectors

Adverity supports 600+ native API connectors, plus SMTP connectors for sources without API capability. For sources that don't have a native connector, data can still be brought in.

Designed for agencies

Multiclient environments, cross-platform campaign data, lean analytics teams, clients who need accurate numbers on time. Adverity is built for exactly this.

Why Decision Foundry

We've done this before — for agencies like yours

We've delivered MCI to Adverity migrations for noted media agencies. These were live production environments where real client reporting was on the line. We delivered every time.

Your reporting never goes dark

We run Adverity in parallel with MCI throughout the migration. Current dashboards keep working while we build and validate behind the scenes. We cut over only when everything is verified.

Your historical data comes with you

Full schema alignment - naming conventions, metric definitions, and data structures all mapped and matched. Day one post-migration, your dashboards show a continuous timeline. No gaps.

We know what you're leaving behind

We know MCI inside out. How it structures data, how its connectors work, and how agencies use it. We're not reverse-engineering your source environment during the project. We know what's coming out and how to rebuild it, often better inside Adverity.

Four years of Adverity delivery

We've been through every major Adverity update, every quirk, every edge case. We use Adverity's SMTP connector, Data Preview, and AI-powered transformations as standard. When things go wrong, we have a direct line to Adverity's support team, not a ticket queue.

Above 99% data accuracy

Our QA dashboards validate data accuracy between Adverity and Source Platforms in under 10 minutes. We've maintained above 99% accuracy for every client we've delivered for.

Questions, Answered

MCI to Adverity Migration FAQs

So what exactly do you do? Do you just set up Adverity or is there more to it?

We do the full end-to-end - connecting your data sources, cleaning and harmonising the data, building your dashboards, and staying on to maintain everything ongoing. It's not a one-time setup.

We already have Adverity. Why do we need you?

Adverity is the platform and we're the experts who know how to get the most out of it. Setting up connectors, building enrichments, defining naming conventions, and maintaining pipelines requires deep platform knowledge that takes years to develop.

We have data coming from 15+ platforms. Can you connect all of them?

Most likely yes. Adverity has 600+ native connectors. For platforms without a native connector, we use SMTP or custom API connections to bring that data in.

Our data is a mess. Different platforms name things differently. Can you fix that?

That's exactly what harmonisation is for. We map fields from all sources to a single unified structure - so "cost," "advertiser cost," and "spend" all become one consistent metric across every platform.

Can we get separate dashboards for our internal team and our clients?

Yes, this is standard. We build internal dashboards for your team and separate client-facing dashboards with view-only access. Clients log in directly — no manual sending required.

We're on MCI. Will we lose historical data when we move?

No. We run both systems in parallel and validate data accuracy before cutting over. Preserving historical data is a core part of our migration process.

Why should we move away from MCI?

Cost, AI capability, and flexibility. Adverity is significantly cheaper at scale, has native AI-powered transformation and conversational querying built in, and is designed specifically for agency environments.

What happens when something breaks, like an API goes down?

We monitor the pipelines and handle issues as they arise. We have a direct relationship with Adverity's support team who typically resolves tickets quickly. You won't be left troubleshooting on your own.

Can we start small and expand later?

Yes. We recommend starting with your highest-priority sources and scaling from there. This lets you prove value quickly before expanding to the full data estate.

How long does a migration take?

A basic setup with a handful of sources can be live in a few weeks. Larger setups with 10+ sources, custom enrichments, and multiple dashboards typically take a few months.
